Allowing your dog some time to sniff around and investigate is good for them mentally.
Dogs gain knowledge of the world through their noses. We like to call it “reading p-mails”. Your dog needs to know what’s going on in the neighborhood. Have you ever noticed after you return from a trip it takes your dog much more time to “catch up” when you walk? They must sniff everything.
We as humans have to exercise patience out on a walk and let them have many potty spots. Also, leave the cell phone at home. This time is for you and your dog.
Remember, your dog depends on you for their quality of life.
If you stimulate mentally and physically it will help your companion to be balanced, healthy, and happy for a lifetime.
